Our Origin

In 1953, a Navy machinist named JP Osborne built a one-of-a-kind desk from a single sheet of furniture-grade plywood for his twin daughters. That desk stayed in the family for over 70 years, passing from mother to child to grandchild. Now, for the first time, the plans are available so you can build one of your own.

Designed for Two

The A-frame layout lets two kids sit face to face while keeping their workspaces naturally separated. More together time, less squabbling.

No Moving Parts

Fixed seats 12 inches off the ground. No tipping chairs, no pinched fingers, no bonked heads. Built for real toddlers, not showrooms.

One Sheet of Plywood

Everything you need fits on a single 4x8 sheet. Straightforward to build, easy to customize, and stores flat under a bed when not in use.

Built to Be Passed Down

Three generations have loved this desk. Build it right, finish it well, and yours will too.
